TL;DR - With updates to the PACT Act to include vapor and e-cigarette products, consumers are no longer able to receive these products via mail. 7 Daze products will still be available at retail stores.
On December 21, 2020, Congress voted to pass the Omnibus Appropriations Bill, consisting mostly of COVID-19 related legislature. Amongst it was also the amendment to the Prevent All Cigarette Trafficking (“PACT”) Act.
The PACT Act, originally passed in 2009, requires the United States Postal Service (“USPS”) to refuse shipments of all cigarettes directly to consumers. However, with the latest amendment, this legislature is to now include smokeless tobacco and vapor products.
This reform in regulation has prompted 3rd-party common carriers such as FedEx and UPS to suspend shipments of all vapor products not only to consumers but also to businesses. FedEx and UPS have pursued these courses of action for their own reasons, despite being excluded from this new legislation.
7 Daze will continue to fulfill shipments via USPS to retailers and distributors, but with enhanced scrutiny to ensure our products are distributed strictly within business-only arrangements.
